Education Services

The purpose of this service is to provide a patient focussed education and professional development service for General Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Practice Managers/Administrators tailored to their educational needs, and in accordance with the six key principles of the Primary Health Care Strategy.

The objectives of this service are:

• To meet the educational needs of General Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Practice Managers/Administrators to ensure they have access to educational opportunities
• To ensure practitioners are current in regards to acute and chronic disease management
• To align education activity with the Primary Health Care Strategy
• To support quality improvement initiatives
• To collaborate with the local PHO to assist with their educational and performance needs.
